Introduction

Hi I'm Cyberclops, but if you're an ex-AngelEyez.net chatter you may remember me as Jabba :)

'DedHications'

The AEResurrected (or AER) project is dedicated to Dartisis who passed away in 2005 before AngelEyez was closed down, and also mainly to DedHead/Osiris (real name Eric), who passed away suddenly on Friday 5 August 2011 due to a coronary blockage. Eric was a brilliant DJ for AngelEyez, a loving father, and a friend to many. He will be greatly missed.

So I'm currently actively working alongside Tekwhiz and maverick_hunter_17 - both former DJs on AngelEyez, to bring back the same server names that were previously employed, and hopefully the same chatters too.

All servers will be compiled for OpenSSL, ZipLinking, and Remote Including. Remote configuration sections include:

• help.conf (original file)
• badwords.*.conf (original files)
• spamfilter.conf (original file)
• Admin{}
• Alias{}
• Allow{}
• Ban{}
• Oper{}
• NetConfig ( Set{} )
• ServConfig ( Set{} )

So what have you achieved so far?

• Mystic (the hub) is running UnrealIRCd 3.2.8.1 compiled for OpenSSL, ZipLinks, and Remote Includes.
• Remote includes have been uploaded to a temporary location, until the domain is purchased.
• Services (anope) is running.
• At 2:45am BST Wednesday 10 August, Tekwhiz brought Minotaur online. It was linked by 3am.
• At around 4:30am BST same day, Jabba brought BOPM online.
• Registered the domain (AngelEyezResurrected.net).
• Set up Minotaur (run by Tekwhiz)
• Set up Cerberus (run by maverick_hunter_17)
• Configure and link NeoStats.
• Register the domain (AngelEyezResurrected.net). Host with VaultHosting, Ltd.
• Moved remote configs to the new domain.
• Get a website up and running.
• Set up the radio.
• idleRPG

And what's left to do? (not in any particular order)

• Install modules such as GamesServ, WarServ, LoveServ, etc. *cannot find.
• Find other ex-chatters from AngelEyez.net, starting with those who ran servers. Invite them back.
• Get those other servers configured and online.
• Put the word out wherever possible to advertise AngelEyezResurrected so that anybody we couldn't find, can find us!
• Set up all the old channels including #GamesGalore !!!
• Find DJs (Tekwhiz, mavvy, myself).
• Beg those who have refused to come back, to reconsider and support a worthy cause.
